Prior to the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, Malenstyn was shipped off to Buffalo in exchange for a second-round pick, later signing a two-year, $2.7 million deal with his new club during the offseason. While the hard-working forward set personal bests across the board with 81 games played, six goals, 15 assists and 98 shots on net, he shouldn't be expected to offer much fantasy value given his limited offensive upside. Still, in formats that value hits and blocked shots, the 26-year-old natural center could offer increased value considering he dished out 241 hits while making 93 blocks last year.
