Fitzgerald got into 27 NHL games in 2022-23, racking up three assists, 13 shots on goal, 35 hits and 12 blocked shots between the Sabres and the Panthers. Florida didn't trust him much, giving him just 5:23 of ice time per game across his four regular-season outings with the team, and he didn't see much more action in two playoff outings. With injuries creating question marks on the Panthers' blue line heading into 2023-24, it's possible he makes the Opening Night roster, but it's unlikely Fitzgerald will be impactful enough to earn attention in fantasy.
