Arnesson has signed a multi-year contract with Orebro HK of the SHL, Ty Anderson of WEEI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After experiencing little success in two-plus years with AHL Providence, Arnesson will try to make more of an impact back in his home country of Sweden. At just 22 years old, Arnesson still has plenty of time to develop overseas, and it's very possible that he could return to North America eventually if the deal is right.

Arnesson, a 2013 second-round pick, gained some exposure to the North American game over the final few weeks of the 2014-15 season in preparation for a full-time role in the AHL in 2015-16. While the smooth-skating blueliner isn't close to securing an NHL job, the 20-year-old Swede projects as a dependable two-way blueliner for the Bruins.
The 2013 second-rounder played in Sweden this past season, recording six points in 44 games for Djurgarden of the Allsvenskan league. At 19, the smooth-skating blueliner isn't close to securing an NHL job, but down the road Arnesson projects as a dependable two-way blueliner for the Bruins.
Arnesson, who was selected by the Bruins with the 60th pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, is presumably headed back to Sweden for further development. He is viewed as a solid two-way defender in the mold of Chicago's Niklas Hjalmarsson. While the Bruins don’t need him to make an immediate impact, he adds nice depth to the organization’s blue line.
