Marcel Mueller

Mueller has the size (6-3, 220), smarts and skill to play in the NHL but he's going to spend another season (or two) in the AHL to fully adjust to the North American game. His future will be as a third-line winger if he ever makes the NHL.

Brian Burke just loves the big and skilled profile. And Mueller fits that to a T. He was dominant last season in the German league -- 24 goals, 56 points and 122 PIMs in 53 games. And he's 6-3 and 220 pounds, and he can skate. We'll need some time to adjust to the smaller North American ice so expect some growing pains. He may start in the A but he could develop into a 50-point, 100-PIM winger in the NHL in a few seasons.
