Elias had a season to forget in 2014-15, managing just 13 goals and 34 points in 69 games. Age is catching up with the 39-year-old, who is still only four years removed from a 78-point season. While Elias is on the decline, he can still be a valuable fantasy player; you just have to lower your expectations. The former 40-goal-scorer struck five times on the power play last season and still appers locked into a top-six role in New Jersey, making a bounce-back campaign possible on some level. At his age, we shouldn’t expect a huge improvement in his scoring total, but Elias still has enough gas in the tank to crank out another 40- or 50-point showing. He'll need a better run of health in order to accomplish that, though, after missing a total of 30 games over the last two years.

The crafty Czech veteran again saw his season hampered by nagging injuries, as he missed 17 games. Through it all, Elias still finished with a decent points-per-game rate, notching 17 goals and 36 assists in 65 tilts. Elias has been inconsistent the last two seasons, but he is still one of New Jersey’s top offensive weapons and will again be deployed freely. He’ll turn 38 this season, but will still be worth a gamble in the later rounds after younger players with more upside have been snagged. Elias can be a reliable source of secondary scoring, however, he won’t be a large contributor in shots on goal, as he averaged under two per game last season. The bottom line is that Elias is one of several aging offensive players on whom the Devils will rely, perhaps to their detriment.

Elias re-signed with the Devils in June, avoiding free agency and likely committing to finishing his career with the Devils. Even at 37, he's still a crafty playmaker, power play asset, and a reliable source of secondary scoring. He finished last year with 36 points, the bulk of which came early in the season before New Jersey's April swoon. Elias remains a good source of assists and should be amongst the team's leaders in this category. Elias likely will play alongside countryman Jarmoir Jagr and can be expected to be a steady player for most owners after the second tier goal scorers are gone.

The crafty winger-turned-center posted one of his strongest seasons in recent years during the 2011-2012 campaign, notching 78 points in 81 games. He was a bit quiet in the team’s run to the Stanley Cup Finals with just eight points in 24 games, but Elias was the team’s most consistent offensive player during the regular season, rarely going more than two games without a point. His 56 assists were tops on the team and he notched 29 points on the power play. At 36, he doesn’t have much upside left, but he’s a skilled playmaker that can be a solid source of secondary scoring. Just don’t overpay for last season’s numbers.

Elias posted 21 goals and 62 points last season with a minus-4 rating. He's a consistent player in the twilight of his career and will see significant time on the power play. His glory days tallying 30 goals are over, but reaching 20-25 goals with a healthy amount of assists is to be expected from the crafty veteran. Everything considered, Elias will be a solid mid-round selection to complement higher-scoring forwards.

Despite missing 24 games due to injury last season, Elias posted a solid, if unspectacular, 19 goals and 48 points in 58 games. He's a safe play (aside from the injury factor) and will be a factor in the Devils' offense and likely will be reunited with Jason Arnott, the center with whom some of his most productive years were alongside. Elias has the potential to be a point-per-game player, but don't expect it. He's a solid player that will be 35 next April and could be a good mid-round addition to your squad.

Posting his best offensive season since the 2003-04 campaign where he registered 81 points, Elias was again a point-per-game player last season with 78 in 77 contests. He potted 31 goals, the fourth highest of his career, and benefited from an aggressive forechecking scheme. He’s getting older, turning 34 next April, but he has great hockey instincts and will see plenty of power-play time. He’s a reliable pick but he has been hampered by injuries at times. Seventy-eight points might not be reached again, but 60 or more should be likely.

His best scoring days are behind him, but for what it's worth, he's one of the Devils' top offensive threats. Playing with Brian Rolston this season, Elias could see a bump in production, but 65 appear to be his ceiling. He's not a bad player; just make sure you get him in the mid-to-late rounds of your draft, rather than pegging him as an elite option in the earlier rounds.

He's not going to start the season and will miss most of, if not all of training camp after contracting Hepatitis A in Russia. He's slated to miss at least the first 10 games and is on a one-year contract. There's no way to know how he'll be when he regains his weight and playing shape, but he has proven to be a good scoring threat in his career. The new rules against obstruction should benefit him. If he's available in the later rounds, there are much worse players you can take a flier on.
