Originally scheduled for just four games, there will be five because the Blues will travel to Anaheim to restart the game that was postponed in February due to Jay Bouwmeester's scary incident. Luckily, he's healthy. It'll be a big night for playoff teams, so read on for tips before setting your DFS lineup.
GOALIE
Anthony Stolarz, ANA vs. STL ($20): Stolarz is having a fantastic season in the minors, recording a .922 SV% and 21-12-6 record. He's poised to make his first NHL start of the year against the defending champs, who will be on the road playing their third game in four nights. The Blues have struggled since the trade deadline, too, posting 1.88 xGF/60, per Natural Stat Trick.
GOALIE TO AVOID
Pavel Francouz, COL vs. NYR ($34): Francouz has allowed three or more goals in every March game, rounding out at an .868 SV%. As the highest-priced netminder in this set, he's a dangerous play because the Rangers have racked up 14 goals over the last three contests.
CENTER
J.T. Compher, COL vs. NYR ($14): Nathan MacKinnon missed half of Monday's game due to an injury, so he may not play tonight. Compher is likely the next up for first-line minutes, and he has a solid scoring touch with four points in the last eight games. Although the Rangers have been playing well, Igor Shesterkin played last night and can't be their saving grace tonight.
CENTER TO AVOID
Adam Henrique, ANH vs. STL ($17): Although the Blues haven't been stout offensively, their defense has been lockdown in that stretch with 2.01 xGA/60. Henrique hasn't been able to come through, though, as he has just one point and two shots on net over the past three contests.
WINGS
Kyle Connor, WPG at EDM ($27): Connor has been fantastic lately with six goals and two assists across the past six contests. He maintains a superb floor due to his shot volume and plus-minus, so he's worth the price tag against a flaky Edmonton crease.
Dustin Brown, LA vs. OTT ($18): The Kings are on a heater, and Brown is helping lead the charge with four goals, three helpers and 18 shots over the last five games. The Senators got lit up last night and went through both netminders, so it's a toss-up who will show up in the blue paint for them.
WINGS TO AVOID
Brady Tkachuk, OTT at LA ($19): Tkachuk has been on and off productive, but he has just a 47.45 xGF% at even strength in March, meaning he hasn't been generating many chances. With the Kings making a late-season surge, Tkachuk may struggle to ink the scoresheet.
Dominik Kubalik, CHI vs. SJ ($17): Kubalik's hot streak has ended, as he's marked just one point and four shots over the last four contests. Furthermore, three of his last seven points have come with the man advantage, and that doesn't bode well because the Sharks' PK ranks 28th over the last month with 3.38 GA/60.
DEFENSE
Drew Doughty, LA vs. OTT ($18): Doughty is a great stack to go with Brown, as he's registered four helpers, a plus-6 rating and plenty of shots over the past four games. He logs major minutes in every situation, so adding him against the Sens is wise.
Samuel Girard, COL vs. NYR ($16): If Cale Makar (upper body) comes back, fire him up instead of Girard. But Girard is the main beneficiary when Makar is out, logging increased ice time, including work on the top power-play unit. The Rangers' PK has been brutal in March, too, allowing 19.87 G/60 -- the second-most in the league.
DEFENSE TO AVOID
Brent Burns, SJ at CHI ($25): Burns hasn't scored in over a month, and his ceiling has been severely depressed due to injuries and trades the Sharks have made. Heading into Chicago puts him in a tough spot, as the Blackhawks rank 11th with just 2.25 GA/GP in March.
Oscar Klefbom, EDM vs. WPG ($19): With how well Connor Hellebucyk has played, we should be wary of any Oiler. Klefbom has struggled a bit lately, too, as he hasn't exceeded 9.0 fantasy points over the past six contests, posting just two points in that span.
