We are heading into the home stretch of November, to the extent that the "home stretch of November" is an actual thing. There are seven NHL games Monday. Here are some players to target and avoid.
GOALIE
Martin Jones, SAN vs. NJD ($32): Jones isn't having a great year, but he does have a 2.31 GAA. The Devils only have 41 goals in 17 games, and they don't have Taylor Hall. Jones stands a good chance of picking up a win, and he likely won't let in many goals in the process.
GOALIE TO AVOID
Cam Talbot, EDM vs. CHI ($34): Talbot is having a solid season with a .916 save percentage. However, the Blackhawks are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, while the Oilers are 3-6-1. Talbot is pretty expensive, and it is going to be harder for him to pick up a win than several other goalies Monday.

CENTER
Eric Staal, MIN at DAL ($19): The Stars are one of the worst goal prevention teams, and they have two goalies who don't instill confidence. Staal is playing well with his new team, tallying 13 points and averaging 2:49 a night on the power play. This matchup certainly bodes well for him.
CENTER TO AVOID
Tyler Seguin, DAL vs. MIN ($32): This is no knock on Seguin, who's tearing it up this season. However, the Wild are the best team in the league in terms of goal prevention, and Devan Dubnyk has a .948 save percentage. Seguin is the third-most expensive center Monday, which is why he's listed as a player to avoid. He's got a really tough matchup that will make it hard to earn his lofty price.
WING
Matt Moulson, BUF vs. CGY ($14): Moulson is basically a power-play specialist at this point in his career. He's only playing 14:40 a night, but he's playing 3:01 with the extra man. He's also got seven power-play points, including five goals. Calgary has a bad penalty kill, and neither of their goaltending options should make you hesitate about rostering Moulson.
James Neal, NAS vs. TAM ($22): Ben Bishop and his .909 save percentage will improve, but they haven't yet. Meanwhile, Neal has been quite good. He's got eight goals on 65 shots in 17 games, and he's playing 3:24 on the power play. He scored 31 goals last year, and he's the kind of player that doesn't even necessarily need a great matchup to have a good fantasy day.
WINGS TO AVOID
Jamie Benn, DAL vs. MIN ($29): He is in the same boat as Seguin but hasn't been quite as good, as Benn has 15 points in 19 games. He's also the second-most expensive wing Monday, which means he needs to have a big game in order to return value.
Jordan Eberle, EDM vs. CHI ($22): Eberle has been solid with five goals and 13 points in 19 games. However, the Blackhawks have been playing really well, and Corey Crawford has a 2.16 GAA and a .928 save percentage. With seven games, and 14 teams, to choose from, you can find better options than Eberle.
DEFENSE
Erik Johnson, COL at CLM ($18): If Columbus plays Curtis McElhinney on Monday, Johnson's stock is even higher, but that's not a given considering how the Jackets have handled things this year. Regardless, Johnson has eight assists, 36 shots on goal, and 46 blocks. He's a solid contributor who can provide good value whether he's facing McElhinney or Sergei Bobrovsky in net.
Jared Spurgeon, MIN at DAL ($16): Spurgeon hasn't contributed a ton of points yet, but he does have five in 13 games. Just as importantly, he's playing almost 23 minutes a night and 2:28 a night on the power play. He's going to see plenty of ice time against Dallas' porous defensive unit, and he doesn't have to go crazy to earn this price.
DEFENSEMEN TO AVOID
Mark Giordano, CGY at BUF ($21): The Sabres may not score many goals, but they are quite good at preventing them. That's not good for Giordano, who also will be on the second night of a back-to-back and has only one point in his last 13 games. He's struggling, and this is not a good situation for him to turn things around.
John Klingberg, DAL vs. MIN ($20): It may seem like we're really piling on the Stars, but the fact is they have a bad matchup. Klingberg isn't doing quite as well as last year either, and he only has 25 shots in 19 games. He's still worth considering in other matchups, but not this one.
