- Jarome Iginla found the back of the net Friday and won't give it back. Two days after the hat trick that doubled his season's goal count, Iggy was scoring some more - this time a pair of goals and an assist in an overtime loss to the resilient Red Wings.
- Resilient Red Wings indeed, this time lead by Henrik Zetterberg who scored twice in the third period, the game-tying goal coming with less than four seconds on the game clock. By the way, Pavel Datsyuk, Nicklas Lidstrom and Brian Rafalski all recorded three-point nights.
- You need a game-winning goal this season? Well, Dustin Byfuglien is proving to be the person to call this season as he notched his fourth such goal when he scored in overtime to hand the Islanders another loss - their 13th in a row.
- Edmonton won a game, but needed Devan Dubnyk to stop 38 of 40 shots in order to it. In Dubnyk's four previous starts, he faced 41, 34, 39 and 42 shots - at least this time, he got the win.
- Taylor Pyatt scored a pair of goals to sink his former team, the Canucks, in Vancouver Sunday night. Pyatt had a two-point game last season against the Nucks in another Phoenix win. Of course he loves showing his old team they were wrong, but only shows it in those games...

Nicklas Lidstrom - After a two-game break from the score sheet, Lidstrom has a three-point night to put himself in a tie for top scoring defenseman this season.
Mathieu Garon - Recorded his third shutout in four games... Steve Mason who?
Dustin Byfuglien - As a forward, he carries a much lower value than when he qualifies as a defenseman. His 19 points on the season put him one point behind the blue line leaders.
Ilya Bryzgalov - He remains on this list because there is no goaltender playing better than him right now and he just won his fifth in a row.
NOT
Roberto Luongo - Winless in three and has nine games where he has allowed three or more goals. NINE games of the 16 he has started!
Andrew Brunette - Two assists and a minus-3 rating in his last seven games make it doubtful the veteran can even break the 50-point plateau this year.
Sergei Gonchar - Only a single assist to go along with a minus-4 rating in the last four games, three of them losses.
The New York Islanders - Fantasy owners should want no part of nearly all members of this squad.
Recommended Pickup
Cory Schneider - There was a lot of talk about giving Luongo more rest this season, but the plan was one in every six or seven games. With the recent results and push from coaching staff to right the ship with Luongo (which hasn't worked apparently), Schneider should see action a little more regularly. And if Luongo is trying to play injured and decides to take time off to get healthy, fantasy owners would have the starter to a pretty solid team.
