This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.
It's a new work week, but at least we have a lot of hockey to help us get through the day. There are nine NHL games on the slate Monday, but inexplicably the three games starting at 7:00 aren't included for fantasy purposes. At least you get an extra half hour to make decisions, I guess. Here are some recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.
GOALIE
Los Angeles Kings, LOS vs. CGY ($16,700): The Kings are catching a Flames team on a slide. They've lost five in a row, scored 2.52 goals per game since the All-Star break and have shut Sean Monahan down for the season. Los Angeles, meanwhile, has only allowed 2.49 goals per game, second-lowest in the NHL.
CENTER
Jeff Carter, LOS vs. CGY ($11,700) Since returning from injury, Carter has nine goals, four assists, and 49 shots on net in 15 contests. Meanwhile, since the All-Star break, the Flames have a 3.56 team GAA, tied for third highest in that time. Part of the problem is the fact that Mike Smith has a 3.79 GAA and .861 save percentage since returning from injury.
Jonathan Drouin, MON vs. DET ($10,300): Drouin has started 58.1 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second highest on the Canadiens to the injured Max Pacioretty. Additionally, though, it has been something of a rough season for him. The former Lightning center has a three-game point streak (and seven points in his last eight contests). The Red Wings have really struggled in March with a 4.00 team GAA in 12 games.
WING
Clayton Keller, ARI at TAM ($11,900): Keller has been on fire, as he has an eight-game point streak where he's tallied 11 points total. This gives him 59 points total in 75 games, and that includes 19 with the extra man. The Lightning have a 3.38 GAA since the All-Star break, and their penalty kill ranks 26th.
T.J. Oshie, WAS at NYR ($10,400): After a dry spell, Oshie has five goals in his last six contests. Now he's facing a Rangers team that has struggled defensively since the All-Star break. In that time, they have a 3.56 GAA and have allowed a league-high 37.7 shots on net. Furthermore, Oshie has averaged 3:19 per game on the power play and notched 17 points with the extra man in 69 contests.
Kevin Labanc, SAN at CHI ($7,500): Labanc has started 54.6 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, third highest among Sharks forwards (although the two in front of him are both currently injured). He's also tallied five points and 18 shots on net in his last seven games (and also played 2:44 per game on the power play in that time). Meanwhile, the Blackhawks have a 3.63 GAA and .888 save percentage since the All-Star break.
DEFENSEMEN
Jake Muzzin, LOS vs. CGY ($10,200): Muzzin has seven points in his last nine games, giving him a career-high 42 points on the season. That includes 14 points with the extra man. The Flames have a 3.56 GAA since the All-Star break thanks in part to a woeful .882 save percentage. It wouldn't be the least bit surprising if Muzzin stays hot.
Colin Miller, VGK vs. COL ($8,700): Miller has started 61.5 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Golden Knights. He's also averaged 2:27 per game on the power play and tallied 16 points with the extra man. The Avalanche have a 3.32 GAA on the road, and their penalty kill in away games ranks 23rd.
