FanDuel NHL: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Ryan Miller, ANH vs MIN ($8,400): With John Gibson banged up, expect Miller to get the nod Wednesday against the Wild. The veteran replaced Gibson against the Avalanche on Apr. 1 and stopped 19 of 21 shots. The Ducks are solid defensively and should make it tough on the Wild to get quality scoring chances against Miller as a heavy favorite in this home matchup.

Center

Ryan O'Reilly, BUF vs OTT ($6,300): O'Reilly has two goals and three assists over his current three-game point streak and has tallied four goals in his last six outings against Ottawa. The Senators have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to centers over the last month.

Matt Duchene, OTT at BUF ($6,200): The talented pivot has three goals and three assists over his last four games and has totaled over 15 minutes of PP time over that span. The Sabres have allowed the most fantasy points to centers over the last four weeks, including 20 goals and 28 assists to the position.

Wing

Mike Hoffman, OTT at BUF ($6,600): The Sabres have allowed 14 goals and 24 assists to left wingers over their last 13 games, and the sniper has buried five goals in his last eight outings against them. Hoffman profiles as a matchup nightmare for Buffalo, which allows a ton of shots on goal, and with Hoffman averaging 4.3 SOG per game against the Sabres over his last eight, he's a good bet to bury one Wednesday.

Brandon Saad, CHI at STL ($5,500): Saad has four points in his last five games with 25 SOG over that stretch. The Blues have allowed 26 points to left wingers over their last 13 matchups, and Saad is a streaky player who happens to be running hot right now in a game where the Blackhawks are simply playing for pride.

Defense

Brandon Montour, ANH vs MIN ($4,100): In the absence of Cam Fowler, expect Montour's involvement on the offensive end to increase, as he's already logging big-time minutes at even strength and with the man advantage. The young blueliner has three points in his last four games and is a tremendous value in a home matchup Wednesday.

Alex Pietrangelo, STL vs CHI ($5,800): Pietrangelo has been cold of late, but Chicago has allowed the second-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks. The Blues' captain has four goals, three assists and 20 SOG over his last six outings against the Blackhawks.
