Goalie
Semyon Varlamov, COL vs PHI ($8,200): The easy play here is Marc-Andre Fleury ($8,500) at home against the Coyotes. Varlamov, though, is in a good spot at home against the Flyers who get a lot of shots to the net. Colorado is ninth in the league with 3.13 GPG and are 26-10-2 at home this season.
Center
Erik Haula, VGK vs ARI ($6,300): Haula mans the second line for Vegas, one of the highest scoring teams in the league and has 28 goals, 11 on the power play, and 25 assists. The former member of the Minnesota Wild has two points in his last three games against the Coyotes. He provides a nice value as a pivot off of William Karlsson seeing 17:23 of ice time per game with 2:24 per contest with the man advantage.
Nicklas Backstrom, WAS vs NYR ($6,700): Two teams going in opposite directions for the first time in a long time are the Capitals and Rangers. Backstrom, who's looking to play deep into the Stanley Cup Playoff with the Capitals has six points in his last two games and two goals with three assists in his last five against the Rangers. The Rangers have struggled across the board defensively especially against the center position allowing the third-most fantasy points to the position over the last four weeks.
Wing
T.J. Oshie, WAS vs NYR ($5,700): Oshie is red hot with five goals and two assists in his last seven games, including in his last game against these same Rangers. The Rangers have mailed it in and skating with playmaking extraordinaire Nicklas Backstrom, Oshie will find space in this soft Rangers defense and produce again on Wednesday.
James van Riemsdyk, TOR vs FLA ($7,000): JVR is coming into this matchup with Florida in great form with eight goals and three assists in his last seven games. He should body well with the Panther defenders down low where he does most of his damage. The veteran is first in the NHL with 8.97 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes.
Nick Bjugstad, FLA at TOR ($5,600): The Panthers and Maple Leafs both score goals at a high rate which leads me to believe that there should be some scoring in this contest. Bjugstad has been skating on the first line with Aleksander Barkov and Evgenii Dadonov. He has three goals and three assists in his last seven contests.
Defense
John Carlson, WAS vs NYR ($5,900): Carlson is a Norris Trophy contender being second amongst defensemen with 15 goals and third at the position with 49 assists. The Massachusetts native has three goals and eight assists in his last nine games and against the Rangers those numbers should improve as the blue shirts have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to the position over the last four weeks.
Erik Johnson, COL vs PHI ($4,700): Johnson has been back for five games now after a month-long injury absence. In his five games back, Johnson has two goals, 13 SOG, and 16 blocked shots. The Flyers have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month giving Johnson a better chance to produce at home value price.
