Goalie
Martin Jones, SJ vs EDM ($8,200): Over his last five games, the veteran netminder has seen an average of 36.2 shot attempts per game while posting a 2.00 GAA over that span. Edmonton, a team that has underachieved all season and is fresh off of trading Patrick Maroon, is just 14-16-2 on the road.
Center
Matt Duchene, OTT at WAS ($5,900): After a cold spell when first arriving in Ottawa, Duchene has hit his stride with the Senators. Over his last 10 games, Duchene has five goals and seven assists while firing 29 shots on goal. Over their last 14 games, the Capitals, who are playing their second game in as many nights, have allowed 19 goals and 32 assists to centers.
Vincent Trocheck, FLA vs TOR ($6,800): Trocheck has set a career high in points already with 55 on the campaign. The Pennsylvania native has six goals and 24 SOG over his last seven outings while seeing 20-plus minutes of ice time in all but one of those contests. Florida comes into this tilt winning seven of its last 10 games, scoring a total of 32 goals in the seven victories.
Wing
Evgenii Dadonov, FLA vs TOR ($5,800): With seven goals and three assists over his last seven outings, Dadonov continues to dazzle as he now has 41 points — 18 goals — with 11 points coming with the man advantage. There should be plenty of opportunities to score, as the Maple Leafs will likely be skating on tired legs after a fast-paced game Monday against Tampa Bay that went all the way to a shootout.
Patric Hornqvist, PIT vs NJ ($6,100): The veteran power forward has two goals in his last four games against the Devils. Hornqvist does most of his work in the dirty areas close to the net, and it shows. His 8.26 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes are second-most in the NHL. The Swede has 32 points — 17 goals — with 16 points coming on the power play.
Kyle Palmieri, NJ at PIT ($5,900): Palmieri and the Devils went shopping at the trade deadline, acquiring Patrick Maroon from Edmonton. It's unclear where Palmieri will be skating and with whom moving forward, but regardless of his top-six spot, he's proven to be productive. Over his last two games, Palmieri has two goals, an assist, and 15 shots on goal. He's been productive against the Penguins with seven goals and three assists over his last 10 outings against them.
Defense
John Carlson, WAS vs OTT ($5,900): Carlson has 11 goals, just one off his career high, 38 assists, and 22 points on the power play. The Senators have the 28th-ranked penalty kill, while the Capitals' power play is sixth-best in the league. The Senators have allowed the second-most fantasy points (10 goals, 23 assists) to defensemen over the last four weeks, as well.
Oscar Klefbom, EDM at SJ ($5,500): It's been a rough season for the Oilers top to bottom, and that includes Klefbom, who's recorded just 17 points. Tuesday's matchup against the Sharks is one he's done well in, however, with 11 points, over two SOG per game, and just under two blocks per contest in his last 12 outings against them. While Klefbom has just three points in his last seven games, the 24-year-old has been active in the offensive zone with 23 SOG over that span.
