Goalie
Jonathan Quick, LA vs DET ($8,800): Quick has won two of his last three games with one of those victories being a shutout. The Connecticut native has one his last two games against the Red Wings, who are 28th in the league with 2.55 GPG. Over his 11-year career, Quick has won 62 games in the month of March, the most of any month during the regular season.
Center
Jeff Carter, LA vs DET ($6,500): Since returning from a 55-game absence, Carter has six goals, two assists and 34 SOG in nine contests. Over their last 14 games, the Wings have allowed nine goals and 21 assists to centers, as well.
Brayden Schenn, STL vs COL ($6,300): In his first season with the Blues, Schenn's 58 points are just one shy of his career high set two seasons ago. Although he has just one point in his last four games, he sits in a good spot Thursday. The 26-year-old has four goals in his last five games against Colorado, while the Avalanche have allowed 16 goals and 20 assists to centers over their last 14 games.
Wing
Tanner Pearson, LA vs DET ($4,400): Pearson is playing inspired hockey of late, even with John Stevens continually shuffling wingers around. The left winger has four goals in his last six games and faces the Red Wings, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to left wingers over the last four weeks (16 goals and 10 assists over 14 games).
Josh Bailey, NYI vs WAS ($6,200): The Islanders are uncharacteristically underpriced Thursday, especially first-line wingers Bailey and Anders Lee. In fact, Bailey hasn't been this cheap since Dec. 16. The All-Star has three points in his last two games against Washington and two goals and one assist in his last five overall. Bailey has posted 65 points — 17 goals — in 65 games and his 48 assists are sixth among skaters at the wing position.
Brendan Gallagher, MTL vs PIT ($6,700): Gallagher has had the goal scoring touch with five goals in his last seven games. The 25-year-old is third in the league, averaging 7.23 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes, and draws a home matchup against the Penguins — who are playing in their second road game in as many nights after having a defensive meltdown in New York on Wednesday.
Defense
Drew Doughty, LA vs DET ($5,800): At his price, Doughty is a value based on how inflated the salaries are for some of his peers. The Ontario native is the seventh-highest priced defenseman on the slate. Over his current three-game point scoring streak, Doughty has a goal and three assists and is in a good spot to make it four in a row on Thursday. The Red Wings have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month of action (10 goals, 30 assists) and Doughty has five points in his last five outings against the team from Hockeytown.
Ryan Ellis, NSH at ARI ($5,700): Ellis slides in paired up with Roman Josi and has been Nashville's best blueliner of late. He has eight points — two goals — in his last six games. Incredibly, Ellis has four goals in his last three games against the Coyotes, including two tallies in their last matchup on Jan. 18. With 21 SOG and 14 blocked shots over his last six, Ellis' floor is strong, especially at his salary in a solid matchup.
