SLATE PREVIEW
Both games in Canada have been postponed, which leaves just Oilers at Rangers at 7 p.m. EDT available on the slate. The upside to have only one game to watch is that all eyes will once again be on Connor McDavid, who put on a show after slicing through four Rangers defenders to score a highlight-reel goal in front of his home crowd.
GOALIES
In showdown formats, no goalies will be available for selection.
VALUE PLAYS
Barclay Goodrow, NYR vs. EDM ($8,000): Goodrow plays on the second power play for an added bonus, but otherwise he's one of the Rangers' most versatile and reliable forwards. He led all of them with 20:02 TOI, finishing with an assist. The Rangers have stacked their top line, but Goodrow still gets to play with a skilled playmaker in Ryan Strome and a promising young scorer in Alexis Lafreniere.
Devin Shore, EDM at NYR ($6,000): Shore draws the lucky straw playing on a line with Leon Draisaitl and Kailer Yamamoto. Obviously, Shore's being put on this line to do the dirty work, and not necessarily because he has top-six potential. His upside is lower than Yamamoto's, but is so his salary, and both – practically speaking – get the same opportunities with Draisaitl at 5-on-5.
LINE STACKS
Mika Zibanejad (C - $11,500), Kaapo Kakko (W - $7,500), Chris Kreider (W - $12,500)
No Panarin, no problem. Zibanejad scored a hat trick Sunday against the Lightning, and despite getting heavily outshot 38-21 pulled off a shutout win against the Lightning. Kreider added three assists, but the value added on this line will definitely be Kakko, who was held without a point but has generally played well this season but still not shooting often enough and suffering a little from poor puck luck (16.51 xGF vs. 15 GF, per naturalstattrick.com).
DEFENSEMEN
Evan Bouchard, EDM at NYR ($9,600): Only Bouchard, Darnell Nurse and Adam Fox are worth selecting in showdown formats where position doesn't matter. The upside to Bouchard is he plays on the same power play as Nurse, but otherwise Nurse plays more minutes and tends to be more consistent of the two.
