Goalie
Semyon Varlamov, COL vs. NSH ($7,600): The Avalanche and Predators are both playing their second game in as many nights. I think Colorado, who is a much better home team, has an advantage playing in their own building on Friday. Varlamov comes in hot, winning his last two starts, both of which have come on the road. He's allowed two goals total in those efforts and has 79 saves over that span. The Predators pose a threat as one of the best teams in the NHL, but Varlamov's upside and value are undeniable in this matchup.
Center
Matt Duchene, OTT vs. DAL ($6,000): Duchene looks more comfortable in Ottawa each and every day, and recently has had success against the Stars. The pivot is riding a three-game point streak against Dallas, with two goals and two assists over that span. In his last seven games, Duchene has four goals, four assists and 19 SOG. Making the Ontario native more appealing, the Stars have allowed 25 points — 11 goals — to centers over their last 14 games.
Erik Haula, VGK vs. MIN ($6,400): Haula, a former member of the Wild, has made quite an impression with the Golden Knights. The second-line-center has 49 points — 27 goals — in 65 games and has netted four goals in his last five games. Vegas has been one of the better home teams in the league and will look to bounce back after an 8-3 drubbing by the Devils on Wednesday. Look for Haula to bring great value as a pivot off of his teammate William Karlsson.
Wing
Mike Hoffman, OTT vs. DAL ($6,400): Hoffman is heating up and seems to enjoy the month of March. For the month, the left winger has 15 points — four goals — in 15 games and last season posted seven points — three goals — in seven games in the month of March. The Stars have surrendered 26 points — 13 goals — in their last 14 games to left wingers. He plays as a nice piece to pair up with Duchene, with both correlating well together at even strength and on the power play.
Alex Tuch, VGK vs. MIN ($4,200): If you're looking for some cheap exposure to Vegas' top line and top power-play unit, look no further than Tuch. While he has gone pointless in his last three games, he does have 13 goals and 17 assists on the campaign with two goals coming on the power play. The rookie has a ton of promise and couldn't be in a better situation, skating alongside William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault.
Zach Parise, MIN at VGK ($6,300): The Golden Knights have allowed the most fantasy points to left wingers over the last month. With 15 goals and 19 assists allowed over that span, Parise has a great chance of keeping his production going. The veteran has three goals and an assist in his last six games with 12 SOG over his last two outings.
Defense
Marc-Edouard Vlasic, SJ at CGY ($4,300): The obvious San Jose defenseman to look at is Brent Burns but he's pricey, so consider Vlasic since he's priced at a discount. The Flames have been exposed by defensemen over the last month, allowing the most fantasy points to the position. With 14 goals and 20 assists surrendered to the position over that span, Vlasic sits in a good spot to produce on Friday.
Brandon Montour, ANH vs. DET ($3,800): Montour is coming off of a two-goal effort on Wednesday and draws a nice matchup on Friday. Over their last 13 games, the Red Wings have allowed 37 points — 10 goals — to the position. Montour brings a ton of value with him, skating on the top pairing and top power-play unit.
