Goalie
Semyon Varlamov, COL vs. CHI ($8,200): Varlamov should be good to go after missing his last start with an illness. In his last start against the Blackhawks, Varlamov had a victory, allowing just one goal and stopping 44 shots. He's a great correlation play with some Avalanche skaters and should pick up a win for the Avalanche who are 26-11-2 at home, while Chicago is 14-19-5 on the road.
Center
Nicklas Backstrom, WAS vs. CAR ($6,600): Backstrom has eight assists in his last three games and faces a friendly matchup with the Hurricanes on Friday. The Hurricanes have allowed 13 goals and 32 assists to the position over their last 13 games. Backstrom has back-to-back games with a point against Carolina and should continue that trend.
Kevin Hayes, NYR vs. TB ($5,700): The Rangers have shuffled players in and out as they begin to turn over their roster, and Hayes is taking advantage of second-line minutes. He has three points, a goal and two assists in his last three games and had a goal and an assist against the Lightning in these two teams' last matchup. The Lightning have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to centers over the last four weeks, including 13 goals and 40 points over the 11-game span.
Wing
Gabriel Landeskog, COL vs. CHI ($6,000): The Avalanche powerful offense draws a great matchup at home against the Blackhawks, and Landeskog sticks out as a player to consider. Chicago has allowed the second-most fantasy points to left wings over the last four weeks. Landeskog has three points in his last four games against Chicago.
William Nylander, TOR at NYI ($5,600): Over his last six games, Nylander has three goals and an assist. The Islanders have allowed the third-most fantasy points to right wingers over the last four weeks, and Nylander has three goals and three assists in his last six games against the Isles.
J.T. Miller, TB at NYR ($6,400): Miller has been performing well since coming to the Lightning. The winger has three goals and an assist in his last four games, and the Rangers have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to left wingers over the last month. He's skating on a tremendous line with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, while seeing time on the top power-play unit.
Defense
Erik Johnson, COL vs. CHI ($4,700): The Avalanche are excited to have Johnson back, and he's performed in his six game after missing a month with two goals and an assist. The Blackhawks have allowed the most fantasy points to the defense position over the last month, and Johnson's salary is very friendly, making it easy to stack him with some of his higher-priced teammates.
Morgan Rielly, TOR at NYI ($5,200): The speedy blue liner has a point in three of his last four games and faces the Islanders against whom he has two goals and three assists in their last seven matchups. The Isles have allowed 12 goals and 37 points to the defense position over their last 13 games.
