2025 Fantasy Outlook
MacIntyre earned his PGA Tour card for 2024 with his strong play on the DP World Tour in 2023. It was quite a struggle out of the gate for the Scot, but he started to really turn it around in late spring when he finished top-15 in three of four starts, including a T8 at the PGA Championship, before earning his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Canadian Open. Just four starts later MacIntyre had one of the highlights of the year winning the Genesis Scottish Open by rolling in a lengthy putt on the 72nd hole becoming the first Scot to win his national open in 25 years. There's no doubt that MacIntyre has the distance and short game to find success on the PGA Tour for years to come. The question is if he can find more control approaching the greens. Not many of the earnings leaders on the PGA Tour rank outside the top-100 in SG: Approach as MacIntyre did in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Top-15 finish in Maui
January 6, 2025
MacIntyre closed with a seven-under 66 to finish in a share of 15th place at The Sentry.
ANALYSIS
MacIntyre had a quality ball-striking week ranking sixth in SG: Approach to propel him to this finish. It was the eighth straight top-25 finish for the Scot, who looks to be dialed in after breaking through last summer with two victories. MacIntyre will be in for a completely different type of challenge at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but given his form it's hard to argue he won't have a good week, especially if the iron play remains this solid.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2022
MacIntyre would have been a winner on the PGA Tour if not for a truly heroic finish by Rory McIlroy at the Scottish Open. Nevertheless, that showing in his national open went a long way to notching a spot on the Ryder Cup team and securing a PGA Tour card for 2024. Ball-striking has never really been the strength of MacIntyre's game, but he turned that around last season where he ranked 13th in SG: Tee-to-Green on the DPWT. Combine that with his natural ability on the greens and MacIntyre could certainly make a little noise in 2024. He has already notched a trio of top-12 finishes in majors at age 27.
The Scotsman has been ranked in the top 50 in the world during 2021 and was trying to secure his PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry playoffs. Even in the unlikely scenario that MacIntyre fails to qualify that way, his world ranking, and name recognition, would get him into many PGA Tour events, plus majors and WGCs.
