Janewattananond struggled coming home to a seven-over 77 that saw him finish in a tie for 14th place at the PGA Championship.
ANALYSIS
His name made him a crowd favorite, as the 23-year-old was making his first ever PGA Championship start. Janewattananond tied the low round of the day in the third round with a three-under 67 to move into a tie for second place. He was in position for a really strong finish through 11 holes on Sunday. The wind would really kick on the back nine, and he would double-bogey 12 then proceed to bogey each of the next five holes. Janewattananond's back-nine seven-over 42 wasn't the worst of the day, but thankfully his work over the first 54 holes was able to position him inside the top-15. He will likely return to the Asian Tour, as he is not in the field for the PGA Tour event next week.
