2024 Fantasy Outlook
Like many rookies, Young stumbled out of the gates in his debut season, making just three of his first 13 cuts before finding form with a T-3 at the alternate event Puerto Rico Open. He got through sectional qualifying to play in his first major championship at LA Country Club (where he missed the cut) and ended up with a decent six top-20s on the season. The biggest obstacle for Young is around-the-green play, where he ranked a dreadful 185th. What Young would give to have a do over of his first-round 72, as he finished just one stroke shy of a playoff with Austin Eckroat. Young did bounce back strong with an 11-under 61 on Friday, but it was always going to be a lot to make up after his slow start. Young ranked T2 in GIR's for the week and will hope to keep the strong iron play rolling at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship next week.
