T60 at TPC River Highlands
June 25, 2019
Harkins fell back to a tie for 60th place after shooting a three-over 73 in the final round of the Travelers Championship.
ANALYSIS
Harkins was two-over after six holes on Sunday, but turned under-par after three straight birdies from holes 7-9. Unfortunately he would wind up shooting four-over on the back-nine. Harkins ranked outside the top-65 in SG: Off-the-tee and putts per GIR, but he was second in SG: Around-the-green. After struggling to make it to the weekend earlier in the year, Harkins has now made five of his last six cuts. He will be in the field for the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2017
It took Harkins just one year on the Web.com Tour to earn his PGA Tour card and as a rookie on the PGA Tour last season, he once again secured his card for the following season. The feat itself is quite impressive, the problem is, Harkins hasn't really shown much of an upside. He earned his card by making cuts, earnings several top-25s and sprinkling-in a few top-10s. Harkins made the cut in two-thirds of his starts last season and he turned that into eight top-25s. His best finish however was just a T8 at the Career Builder Challenge. Harkins may be new to the professional golfing world, but he's no youngster, well, relatively. Harkins is 32 years-old, which means he should be peaking about now and if that's the case, this might be the best he's got.
The long-hitting 31-year-old proved to also be proficient with the flat stick, ranking 11th in driving distance, 12th in putting average and eighth in birdie average on the Web.com Tour this past season. He made 15 of 24 cuts while posting a pair of top-threes and six top-25, ultimately finishing at 21st on the regular season money list. Harkins had never earned a PGA Tour card until this point, though he did place T59 at the 2016 U.S. Open.
