2024 Fantasy Outlook
Since being drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft, Jenkins has dealt with durability issues and a position change. The veteran has missed 20 games in three years. After being moved from tackle to left guard, he has been a solid player who is in little danger of losing his starting role. Read Past Outlooks

Full practice Thursday
OGChicago Bears
November 21, 2024
Jenkins (ankle) was a full practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins missed the Bears' Week 11 loss to the Packers due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 10 against the Patriots. His full practice Thursday indicates he should be good to go Sunday against the Vikings, and Jenkins could start at left guard if Ryan Bates is unable to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
Jenkins is entering his third year with the Bears. After missing 11 games as a rookie offensive tackle, he moved to guard and played 13 games last year. He's expected to be a clear starter on the interior this season.
After being selected in the second round of the 2021 draft, Jenkins was recovering from back surgery and played in just six games. Entering this season fully healthy, he'll be expected to serve as the left tackle and realize the upside the Bears hoped for when drafting him.
Not only did the Bears draft Jenkins in the second round of the 2020 draft, but they released tackle Charles Leno, so Jenkins is fully expected to function as the team's starting left tackle, and he could quickly become the best lineman on the team, and hopefully, a centerpiece of the offense for years to come.

Contract talks on hold
OGChicago Bears
July 22, 2024
Jenkins is still interested in signing an extension with the Bears, but his agents were informed that any contract talks will have to wait until at least the team's bye week in October, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A second-round pick in 2021, Jenkins has had trouble staying healthy during his career and has yet to play more than 13 games in a season for Chicago, but when he's been on the field he's become a stalwart at left guard. He's now heading into the final year of his rookie contract, and a strong campaign protecting new franchise quarterback Caleb Williams should line Jenkins up for a big payday, either from the Bears or from another club in free agency next spring.
