Perhaps propelled in part by an uptick in linebacker reps, Williams logged a career high in snaps last year (1,024) and reached a career-high 114 tackles as a result. So long as he's playing snap counts like that, Williams should remain a valuable defensive back IDP with top-12 upside in the category. It's not clear whether the Bengals intend to reduce his reps any. They seemed to use plenty of amorphous concepts last year and might continue to use Williams at linebacker, but the signing of Vonn Bell in free agency and the addition of three linebackers in the draft make things a bit more crowded than they were a year ago. Williams also is in the final year of his contract, so there's a slight risk that institutional incentive might be working against him.
