Re-ups with Buccaneers
Cockrell signed a two-year, $2.11 million contract with the Buccaneers on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Cockrell signed with the Buccaneers in October and played 12 regular-season games (two starts) and all three playoff games. He didn't play any defensive snaps over the final two postseason contests. With Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Jamel Dean all returning for 2021, Cockrell will take on a situational role in Tampa Bay's secondary once again.

2014
After playing almost exclusively on special teams for Buffalo in 2014, Cockrell joined the Pittsburgh defensive backfield and proved he could be a playmaker. He enters training camp looking to win a starting position and, considering opposing offenses threw against them more than 62 percent of the time, could be a sleeper pick in IDP formats.
