Robert Turbin

The journeyman is on his fourth NFL team, but Turbin seems to have found a home for now as a short-yardage specialist for the Colts. Possessing a low center of gravity and strong burst to the point of attack, the 28-year-old is hard to stop upon initial contact, and he also has enough elusiveness to avoid big hits in the hole. Turbin doesn't offer much in the passing game and won't run away from many defenders if he finds himself in space, but as a goal-line back he's found some success, scoring eight rushing touchdowns in 21 games the last two seasons - none longer than seven yards. A elbow injury limited him to six games in 2017, but he should be fully recovered by training camp. The Colts have plenty of competition for snaps, with second-year back Marlon Mack likely to assume starting duties and fourth-round pick Nyheim Hines in the mix for a pass-catching role. Turbin is facing a four-game PED suspension to start the season, so his role upon his return will hinge on the health of his backfield mates at that time.
