September 8, 2020
The Bills released DiMarco (neck) from injured reserve with an injury settlement, James P. McCoy of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
DiMarco hasn't missed a game since the 2013 season, but he won't begin the coming campaign on any roster as he recovers from a neck concern. Coach Sean McDermott wouldn't comment on the severity of the injury Monday, so there's no telling if (or when) DiMarco will receive clearance to play again.

DiMarco is a respected veteran fullback but the 30-year-old is unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact. In seven NFL seasons, DiMarco has a total of four receiving touchdowns and only four rushing attempts.
DiMarco saw tons of action in 2017, but only nine touches, including two rushes for minus-2 yards. He'll set up LeSean McCoy for big gains, but fantasy owners should look elsewhere for cheap points.
Some believe that the secret sauce in the Falcons running game last year was their table-setting fullback Patrick DiMarco. Now in Buffalo on a four year, $8.3 million deal, DiMarco should see plenty of action but probably not a lot of touches.
DiMarco has the inside track to be the team's starting fullback assuming he has a decent camp. He's much more valuable from a real world standpoint than he is in the fantasy world, as he'll be tasked with opening holes for Devonta Freeman. He had a career year in 2015, but he only has three touchdowns in four years in the league, so temper any offensive expectations in 2016.
DiMarco is expected to clear some running lanes for the Falcons as the starting fullback this season, but he shouldn't be counted on to produce in a fantasy sense. He did find the endzone once in 2014, but he only tallied nine receptions for 62 yards in 16 games. He's much more valuable to his team than to fantasy owners.
Dimarco caught eight balls in his fullback role for the Falcons last season, and he comes into 2014 as the favorite to hold down that position this year. The Falcons don't get the ball to their fullback much, so a similar statline can be expected in 2014.
DiMarco will provide depth at fullback, and could see some action if Bradie Ewing suffers a setback from his previous knee injury.
