Nick Kwiatkoski

Kwiatkoski posted a career-high 81 tackles (53 solo) in just 12 games during his maiden season with the Raiders after spending the first four years of his career in Chicago. He and the Raiders worked on a restructured deal this offseason as he projects to remain the starter at middle linebacker.

Kwiatkoski earned eight starts on the way to posting career highs in tackles (76) and sacks (three) before his four-year rookie deal with the Bears expired at the end of the 2019 season. A three-year, $21M contract from the Raiders awaited Kwiatkoski in free agency, as such a payday locks him into a starting role at outside linebacker for the silver and black next to Cory Littleton and Nicholas Morrow.

When injuries have forced Kwiatkoski into the starting lineup during his first two years in the league, he's shown the ability to be a solid IDP option. For instance, in the last three games of 2017, he posted at least eight tackles in each contest. That said, after the team drafted Roquan Smith in the first round of the 2018 draft, Kwiatkoski will continue to serve as a second-stringer. He's not a recommended player to draft in IDP leagues, but he'll definitely be a player to monitor on the waiver wire if he's pressed into a starting role.

The Bears’ 2016 fourth-round draft choice profiles as a strong tackler, who also has solid coverage skills. However, with Jerrell Freeman and Danny Trevathan ahead of him on the depth chart, Kwiatkoski won’t have IDP value unless the team suffers injuries at inside linebacker, and he earns a starting role.
