ANALYSIS
Weber landed on injured reserve with a hip flexor issue in early August, and he'll now be free to seek out other opportunities. It's not yet clear when the 23-year-old will be healthy enough to return to the field.

Weber was never the man in the Ohio State backfield during his college days, but as a physical runner with traces of a three-down skill set, he was a dependable depth option for the Buckeyes and will get a chance to fill a similar role in Dallas behind Ezekiel Elliott after being drafted in the seventh round. Weber will compete for backup work with Tony Pollard, Alfred Morris and Darius Jackson, with the potential for someone to step up big if Elliott's holdout continues into the regular season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Earns tryout Saturday
The Packers hosted Weber for a workout Saturday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Running backs Weber and Mark Thompson were brought in for tryouts Saturday, as the team currently has two running backs on the reserve/COVID-19 list (AJ Dillion and Jamaal Williams), while Dexter Williams (knee) could've suffered a long-term injury in Thursday's game against the 49ers. Weber has spent time with both Dallas' and Kansas City's practice squads in his career and would add organizational depth at the positioning signed.
