2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hardman is coming off the worst season of his career. After beginning the season with the Jets, Hardman was traded to the Chiefs after Week 6. The only game in which the receiver posted more than 13 yards was in Week 18. In that game, Hardman posted 77 yards, though not many fantasy players benefited from his performance. It’s unlikely that Hardman places any higher than the No, 4 wide receiver on a depth chart. As a result, it appears improbable that the receiver will see a meaningful number of targets. Won't return Sunday
Hardman (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Hardman was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday and logged a week of limited practice sessions, but it appears he's not ready to return to game action just yet. The Georgia product's absence in Week 18 could also be precautionary, as Kansas City is resting most of its starters after securing the AFC's No. 1 seed. Hardman's next opportunity to take the field will come in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

Hardman was unable to take advantage of Tyreek Hill's departure last season with the Chiefs, missing games for the first time in his career and averaging 33-41 receiving yards per game for a fourth consecutive season. But he scored six touchdowns (two rushing) in eight games, and his 53 percent snap share was a slight uptick from previous years (45, 45 and 52 percent). The 2019 second-round pick had core muscle surgery in February, then signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Jets in March. He'll now catch passes from another future Hall of Famer, though Aaron Rodgers is on the downside of his career and also has Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb at wide receiver. The 25-year-old Hardman arguably offers some post-hype breakout appeal now that he's taking his 4.33 speed to a new team after four straight years in Kansas City with at least 8.3 YPT and a 63 percent catch rate in a part-time role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could have big role to begin season
Kansas City could rely upon Hardman's rapport with Patrick Mahomes early in the season, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The defending Super Bowl champions revamped their receiving corps this offseason, which doesn't bode well for Hardman in the long run. However, Taylor suggests that the speedster will have a regular role in the offense early on, primarily to free up space underneath for Travis Kelce and Marquise Brown. Also helping Hardman's case for a starting role to begin the season is that Rashee Rice will likely be facing a suspension from the league due to his role in a multi-vehicle crash in March.
