ANALYSIS
Brown appeared in all 17 games for the Jaguars last year and recorded a career-high 57 tackles and two sacks across 653 defensive snaps. The eighth-year pro has been a productive defensive tackle with New England, New Orleans and Jacksonville, and will likely garner plenty of interest as a free agent.

Brown was traded from the Saints to the Jaguars during the offseason. He had 27 tackles (nine solo) and one sack in 13 games last year, and he should compete for a starting role on the interior defensive line with his new team.
After four seasons with New England, Brown spent 2019 with New Orleans. He recorded 34 tackles (18 solo), two sacks, one pass defended and a fumble recovery in his first season with the team, starting all 16 regular-season games. He'll be back in 2020 as an anchor on the defensive line where he'll share time with David Onyemata and Sheldon Rankins.
Brown is entering his third pro season after being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft in 2015. The 6-foot-2, 320-pounder is penciled in as a starting defensive tackle for the Patriots in 2017, after logging 50 tackles and three sacks this past season.
The Patriots are counting on Brown, last year's first-round pick, to be a stalwart of the team's interior defensive line for years to come. The 6-foot-2, 320-pounder, who recorded 48 tackles and three sacks as a rookie in 2015, figures to see an uptick in snaps this season and in such a scenario, he could enter the IDP equation.
With the team looking to replace long-time DT Vince Wilfork, the team's selection of Brown in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, 32nd overall, made perfect sense. While Brown isn't the huge space-eater that Wilfork was in his prime, he's stout in his own right (6-foot-2, 320 pounds) and could morph into a disruptive lineman at the NFL level. As a rookie, he's have to overtake Sealver Siliga and Alan Branch to gain a starting slot, but such an outcome seems destined to occur at some point, if not to begin the 2015 season.
