Works out for Dolphins
Miller has a workout scheduled with the Dolphins on Monday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins could be without their top three running backs, as Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed are both on the reserve/COVID-19 list while Phillip Lindsay is battling an ankle injury. If signed, Miller -- who played in 61 games for Miami from 2012 through 2015 -- could take on a prominent role in Week 15 against the Jets if none of the three aforementioned running backs are cleared to return by then.

Miller, who suffered a torn ACL last August and spent the 2019 campaign on the Texans' injured reserve list, joined the Patriots as Week 1 of the 2020 season approached. Between the severity of his injury and his modest efficiency over the previous three years with Houston, Miller wasn't likely to immediately step into a significant role with New England. He averaged 4.1 yards per carry and 7.4 yards per catch in three seasons with Houston, tallying 3,612 yards from scrimmage and 18 touchdowns in 44 regular-season games. Miller was cut in advance of Week 1, but could be brought back by the team.

Gets look from Atlanta
Miller worked out with the Falcons on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite failing to log a carry this season, Miller has been in the news in recent weeks. He worked out with Miami prior to a Week 15 matchup against the Jets as the Dolphins' running back room was depleted by COVID-19. Now, he's gotten a look with Atlanta, though it's not clear whether there is an opportunity in the Falcons backfield with Cordarrelle Patterson leading the way, and Mike Davis and Qadree Ollison working in supplemental roles.
