2024 Fantasy Outlook

A 2024 sixth-round pick, Vidal joins a Chargers backfield with minimal experience beyond ex-Ravens Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins. The rookie out of Troy has traits that should appeal to new Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman, as Vidal was tough to bring down in college and took 297 carries for 1,661 yards and 14 TDs last season alone. He's not especially elusive, but he showed potential in the passing game with at least 18 receptions in each of his four seasons at Troy, and he earned praise from both coaches and scouts for his pass blocking. Vidal's combination of bulk (5-8, 213) and speed (4.46 40) makes him far more interesting for fantasy than a typical sixth-round pick, especially within the context of a Chargers offense that's looking to run the ball more often despite having a shaky group of veteran RBs. ANALYSIS
With J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards both healthy for the postseason contest, Vidal will revert back to his status as a healthy inactive like he did Weeks 10-12. Hassan Haskins will operate as the team's third back given his utility as a special teams player.
