Cut from practice squad

The Cardinals cut Davis from the practice squad Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis spent a month on Arizona's practice squad, but he's now been cut to make room for Miles Brown on the unit. The 23-year-old running back will look to catch on in a depth capacity elsewhere in the league.

Davis has received just three carries through his first two seasons while being deployed mainly on special teams. The undrafted free agent out of USC could be on the roster bubble entering the 2019 season and likely is firmly behind Todd Gurley, Darrell Henderson, Malcolm Brown and John Kelly on the depth chart.
Davis suited up for four games in 2017, his rookie campaign, and gained one yard on one carry. His ceiling is as a backup to bellcow Todd Gurley, which is an uphill battle and would leave little to desire in the fantasy world anyway.
Davis sustained a high-ankle sprain during his senior season at USC and never fully rebounded. After missing three games, he only had 35 carries for 139 yards. If he was healthy for the duration of last season, Davis might have been a more coveted asset entering the 2017 NFL Draft. The four-year Trojan currently lacks the physicality and power to be a consistent early-down rusher, and his blocking and pass-catching ability need work before he can be relied on as a third-down back at the highest level. However, Davis has the speed, quickness and elusiveness to be a potential game-breaker in space. While Davis is unlikely to make an immediate impact with Los Angeles, his athleticism isn't in question, and his weaknesses might just require hard work and fine-tuning to overcome. After Todd Gurley, the Rams' backfield is wide open, so Davis has a chance to climb the depth chart if he can acclimatize to the pro game quickly.
