After spending 2020 shuttling back and forth between the practice squad and the Chiefs' active roster, Dieter signed a futures deal this offseason. He finished out last year amassing just one catch for 10 yards on two targets and seems most likely bound for a special teams role this season should he lay claim to a 53-man roster spot. The departure of Sammy Watkins should leave an extra spot open on the roster, though the team also selected Cornell Powell in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft along with bringing back free agent Demarcus Robinson.
