The 2015 first-round pick totaled 1,812 defensive snaps in 26 games played with the Browns over the past two years. Randall notched 61 tackles (45 solo), 2.5 sacks and six passes defensed in 11 games last season.
Randall played an implausibly high number of snaps last year - 1,085 in 15 games - but even if that drops to 1,000 in 16 games he still offers playmaking upside. The Packers might regret trading him following a Browns debut in which he posted not only a healthy tackle total but more notably held up in coverage with four interceptions. Randall always had a way of finding the ball, intercepting 10 passes in his three Green Bay seasons, and he could go nuts with INTs given the Browns' frightening pass rush and the shootouts Baker Mayfield figures to provoke.
Acquired from the Green Bay Packers in exchange for DeShone Kizer, Randall projects to be the Browns' starting free safety. He struggled as a cornerback for the Packers, but the Browns believe he'll be better suited as a safety going forward. Though his struggles have been well-documented, Randall has still managed to pick off 10 passes in his first three years in the league, a trait Cleveland desperately needs, as they ranked 31st in the NFL with a lowly seven interceptions in 2017.
Heading into 2016 Randall appeared to be on the verge of establishing himself as a regular starter for the Packers, but injuries and ineffectiveness instead plagued him throughout the campaign, and he actually saw his role decrease. The Packers will give him a chance to turn things around this season, but he may open the season no better than the team’s fourth cornerback.
Randall, Green Bay's 2015 first-round selection, had a rock-solid inaugural campaign despite transitioning from safety to cornerback during his first season in the NFL. He led the Packers with 14 defended passes and tied for a team-high three interceptions, which doesn't include his theft from Carson Palmer in Green Bay's divisional round loss to the Cardinals. However, Randall also was to blame for Larry Fitzgerald's 75-yard catch that led to Arizona's game-winning touchdown. All in all, Randall's strengths reside in his unwavering confidence and ability to high-point any and all balls thrown his direction. Both overshadow any mental lapses he may have over the course of a contest, and are a big reason to expect Randall to continue along his sky-high career trajectory.
While Randall primarily played safety in college, the Packers have him listed at cornerback to open up training camp. His strength is in run support and he will likely be used in nickel and/or dime situations – if he does not win a starting job during camp. Randall’s versatile skill set could help solidify Green Bay’s defensive backfield in 2015.

Randall is scheduled to meet with the Seahawks this week and could sign with the team, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
After losing safeties Jamal Adams (groin) and Lano Hill (back) to injuries in the Week 3 win over the Cowboys, the Seahawks are looking for reinforcements in the defensive backfield. Randall, who has been on the open market since being cut by the Raiders earlier this month, would offer Seattle an experienced option at safety if the two sides are able to work out a deal. Randall appeared in 11 games with Cleveland in 2019, logging 61 tackles, 2.5 sacks and six passes defensed.
