Dallas Clark: Retiring As A Colt On Wednesday
Clark will officially retire as a member of the Colts on Wednesday, the Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The 24th overall pick in the 2003 draft, Clark spent nine seasons with the Colts before playing for Tampa Bay and Baltimore in 2012 and 2013, respectively. He'll retire a Super Bowl champion as well as the Colts' all-time leader in receptions (427) and receiving touchdowns (46) by a tight end. While he often flew under the radar on teams featuring Payton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison, Clark will go down as one of the more consistently productive tight ends in NFL history. Among tight ends, he's tied for sixth all-time in receiving touchdowns, tied for eighth in receptions, and ranks 15th in receiving yards.

At press time, Clark is without a team as he enters what would be his 11th season in the league. Clark is an experienced pass catcher that proved last year he still has something in the tank, totaling 31 receptions for 343 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games with the Ravens. Still, Clark will likely serve in a backup role wherever he ends up.
