2024 Fantasy Outlook
McGovern logged 17 starts will the Bills in 2023, while working as the team's top left guard. This season, however, the 2019 third-rounder is slated to man the middle of the team's offensive line, as he takes over Buffalo's starting center slot. Read Past Outlooks
Ready for starting role
General manager Brandon Beane revealed Sunday that McGovern is in line to take over as the starting center in 2024, Patrick Warren of the Bills' official site reports. "Connor has welcomed the opportunity and he'll get his chance once we start lining up," Beane said.
ANALYSIS
The Bills released longtime starter Mitch Morse earlier this month, and Morse signed with the Jaguars less than a week later. McGovern started at left guard last season, but the plan as stated by Beane would involve moving David Edwards from a reserve role into McGovern's old position.

Popular trade target
A number of teams have inquired about trading for McGovern, but the Cowboys remain adamant about holding onto him, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas views McGovern as a starter despite his current status as a reserve, as the team has four viable options competing for three spots on the interior offensive line. It's possible someone will blow the Cowboys away with an offer they can't refuse, but if not, McGovern should remain part of America's Team heading into the season.
