Christensen took snaps at center during voluntary workouts last week, Joseph Person of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Christensen had been working his way back from a bicep tear he sustained in Week 1 last season, but he's now apparently back in football shape. He could compete with Austin Corbett for Carolina's starting center job in 2024.

It's the start of a new era in Carolina, with the Panthers turning over the offense to 2023 first overall pick Bryce Young. In his case, the QB will have experienced options at the skill positions to work with.

Christensen started all 17 games at left guard last season. Despite breaking his ankle in Week 18, he's back healthy ahead of the upcoming campaign and figures to maintain his first-team role to protect rookie signal caller Bryce Young.
A third-round pick this year after an All-American campaign at BYU, Christensen is an athletic lineman who could push Cam Erving at left tackle and offer depth up front overall.

Shifting to guard
CCarolina Panthers
May 31, 2022
Christensen is expected to move inside to play guard in 2022, Joseph Person of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Christensen was asked to play at left tackle to end his rookie season in Carolina. However, now that the Panthers have Ikem Ekwonu in the fold, Christensen can kick inside to left guard, his more natural position. He'll have to compete for a starting role with Michael Jordan, but Christensen has enough versatility that he will likely play a significant role for the team in 2022, and he has also taken snaps at center during OTAs.
