Walsh is coming off a dismal year with the Vikings, as he missed 25 percent of his field-goal attempts and over 20 percent of his PATs in nine games before being released. However, he landed in a great situation in Seattle, as last year's starter, Steven Hauschka, finished No. 7 among all kickers while hitting over 89 percent of his field-goal tries. Walsh's upside takes a sizable leap with his new home, though after last year's accuracy issues, it's unlikely he'll have a long leash if his struggles carry over to 2017.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could provide competition
The Saints signed Walsh to their practice squad, and he could challenge for a starting role at some point during the playoffs, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
ANALYSIS
While the signing of Walsh is merely an insurance move right now, it wouldn't be shocking if he makes the playoff roster at some point -- Will Lutz went 5-for-9 on field goals through his final seven games of the regular season and also missed a 50-yarder during the Wild Card win over the Bears on Sunday. Head coach Sean Payton expressed confidence in Lutz after the game, but it's fair to wonder why Walsh was signed exactly at this point and not earlier in the season, as he's been a free agent all year long.
