November 23, 2021
Simon was signed to the Titans' active roster Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 31-year-old was cut by the Titans on Nov. 6 but will now return to the team. In one game for the team this season, he made three tackles while playing 19 snaps on defense. With David Long (hamstring) and Rashaan Evans (ankle) both questionable for Week 12 against the Patriots, Simon may be asked to step right into a substantial role this weekend.

2013
The Colts are shifting to a 4-3 scheme in 2018, and Simon is accordingly being transitioned from linebacker to defensive end. This is a fortunate development for him fantasy-wise, as ends in these fronts have historically been the best IDP options among linemen. Moreover, Indianapolis showed faith in Simon by not adding another marquee pass rusher in free agency or the draft, making the sixth-year Ohio State product a great bet to improve upon the three sacks he recorded in 2017.
Simon joins his former division rival after spending the past three seasons in Houston. He recorded 51 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two pass deflections, and one forced fumble through 11 games with the Texans last season. Simon will now look to compete with Akeem Ayers and Curt Maggitt for a starting role at outside linebacker.
Simon was a fourth-round draft pick in 2013, but he's probably not going to see much of the field in 2014, as was the case in his rookie season.
Simon had a productive career as a pass rusher at Ohio State, and the Ravens selected him in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Baltimore looks strong up front this season, so Simon will likely be given time to develop.

Could wind up on practice squad
DEFree Agent
August 30, 2021
Simon could be ticketed for the Titans' practice squad if he doesn't receive a better offer from another club, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran edge rusher was released Sunday by Tennessee, but coach Mike Vrabel said afterward the team hoped it could continue to have a relationship with Simon. Unless that was a suggestion the 30-year-old should retire and join Vrabel's staff, it sounds like the Titans want to keep him around as depth on the practice squad if they can.
