Grimes has found himself a home with the Texans, having signed a one-year deal in the offseason, making 2016 his fifth year with the organization. He rushed for a career-high 282 yards and caught 26 of 31 targets in 14 games. His system knowledge should put him ahead of Akeem Hunt on the preseason depth chart, but the addition of Lamar Miller to be Houston's feature back puts Grimes no better than third on the depth chart, right behind Alfred Blue. And if 2016 fourth-round pick Tyler Ervin develops, Grimes could be last on the depth chart or worse.
