Adrien Robinson

After not re-signing Brandon Myers, the Giants are left with unproven and uninspiring options at tight end. Atop the list is Robinson, a 2012 fourth-round pick who has played in three career games and never seen a target, never mind a catch. Robinson was a project coming out of Cincinnati, but he has good size at 6-4, 264, and tremendous speed with a 4.56 40 and a 39.5-inch vertical. The 6-6, 265, Larry Donnell, who had three receptions last year as an undrafted rookie, is also in the mix, as are blocking tight end Kellen Davis, who is on his fourth team in the last year, and Daniel Fells, who was out of the league last season. Perhaps it was surprising the team did not draft a tight end, but the position is not a priority in the offense. In the last six years, the team's leading tight end has averaged 42 receptions on 70 targets. Only Kevin Boss in 2008 (six TD) had more than five scores in that span. The same is likely to be true this season for whoever lands the starting role.

Should have a reserve tight end role, but could see significant time if Martellus Bennett gets hurt or proves to be a bust. An athletic pass-catcher, Robinson has some upside if he gets a chance.
