Damaris Johnson

Johnson emerged as the Texans’ third wideout last season, but it was a distant third behind DeAndre Hopkins and Andre Johnson. Now, his role is in jeopardy after the Texans signed free agents Cecil Shorts and Nate Washington, while drafting Jaelen Strong in the third round of the draft. The obvious message is that Houston was looking to improve its weapons at wide receiver and Johnson's job was in jeopardy. He was eventually released in the team's final cuts, but Johnson has kick-returning experience, something that may land him a roster spot somewhere.
