Trindon Holliday

Elite kick returner, not likely to see many snaps on offense.

Holliday will provide depth at wide receiver this season but will have his biggest impact on special teams, where he excelled for the Broncos last year. While he's a bit small at only 5-5, he's a speed demon and can take one to the house at any time.

Holliday has stuck around with the Texans since being drafted in 2010, but has produced very little. He's struggled in a transition from college running back to NFL receiver, but held great potential as a kick returner and continues to be a candidate for a return job.

After his rookie season was a washout due to a thumb injury, Holliday returned in 2011 with a good shot at becoming Houston's primary kick return guy. His skills at wideout are still too raw for him to make a dent in that rotation, but as a fifth wideout, he shouldn't be needed too often offensively. Holliday was released in Sept. 2011, and then re-signed to the Texans' practice squad.

The Texans love Holliday's speed, which we'll get to see a lot of when he lines up as a kick returner during preseason. The team is not yet in love with his skills as a wideout, however, so he'll need to make the roster as a special teamer. With the Texans looking to incorporate Jacoby Jones on offense, there will be opportunities in the punt return game for Holliday. Eventually, he could replace Andre Davis as the full-time kick return man.
