Pierre-Paul was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Pierre-Paul joined Miami on Nov. 27 when he was signed off the Saints' practice squad. The 34-year-old suited up twice with the squad, seeing just five snaps on defense, eight on special teams and failing to record any stats. He'll likely now work to find a new opportunity or perhaps sign with the Dolphins' practice squad once he clears waivers.

If Pierre-Paul progresses to leaping tall buildings in a single bound this coming season, it would be of little surprise. The veteran pass rusher has already proven seemingly indestructible after coming back from two considerably serious injuries during his career - a 2015 fireworks accident that led to the loss of his right index finger and a massive car wreck in May 2019 in which he sustained a fractured vertebrae. Pierre-Paul didn't make his 2019 season debut until Week 8 versus the Titans due to the latter, but he finished with 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles over 10 games despite having to acclimate to a new defensive scheme without the benefit of training camp or preseason. The 31-year-old will be almost a year and a half removed from his aforementioned car accident by the projected start of the 2020 season, and with a presumably much better grasp of coordinator Todd Bowles' defense, he could be primed for an explosive IDP effort in the coming campaign.

Getting look from Saints
Pierre-Paul worked out for New Orleans on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran edge rusher recorded three sacks in 14 games for the Ravens last year but has remained unsigned to this point in the 2023 season. The Saints defense has only 18 sacks through 10 games and could use pass-rush help, but at this stage of his career, the 34-year-old Pierre-Paul isn't likely to make a big impact.
