Dorin Dickerson

Will provide Tennessee with depth at TE.

Cut by the Bills in August of 2013. He had a handful of catches in 2012.

Signed by the Bills as a free agent heading into the 2012 season, Dickerson may fill an H-back type need the team wants to explore. He's an excellent blocker and is familiar with defensive coach Dave Wannstedt from their University of Pittsburgh days, so he has at least one guy in his corner singing his praises. He's never really had a position that suited him in the NFL, but the Bills may give him a chance to land a home as part of a fairly complex offense.

Dickerson will be given a chance to move up the depth chart after the team released David Anderson, though it's not a sure thing he makes the team. Houston has seven guys competing for two available roster spots as depth wideouts. The former tight end is a big target and impressed coaches in training camp last season, though he played very little on offense in 2010. His training camp efforts last season helped him make the roster ahead of veteran Andre Davis. He failed to make an impression during the preseason and was waived.

The Texans plan to move Dickerson outside to work as a wide receiver after playing tight end and H-back at Pitt. It gets pretty crowded on the wideout depth chart, so we're not anticipating a lot of work for Dickerson.
