Scandrick was released by the Eagles on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Scandrick signed with the Eagles in late September and delivered two sacks, two forced fumbles and a touchdown in his team debut, but the team apparently wasn't happy with his performance over the last two games. The veteran cornerback will now look to continue his 2019 season elsewhere.

Scandrick signed with Washington in March but was then released by the team in August. While he may catch on elsewhere before Week 1, the veteran cornerback is unlikely to reemerge as a useful IDP option.
The lone veteran holdover in the Cowboys' secondary after they let four defensive backs leave in the offseason, Scandrick played only 12 games in 2016 due to lower-body injuries. When healthy, he's proven to be a steady slot corner who can also also contribute on the outside if necessary. Now 32 years old, his best days may be behind him, but he'll provide some experience in a young position group. Among them, 2017 third-round pick Jourdan Lewis represents a potential threat to Scandrick's usual role.
The ACL tear that cost Scandrick the entire 2015 season didn't get as much attention as some of the Cowboys' other injuries last year but it dealt a crippling blow to their secondary, as the 31-year-old has developed into the team's best cornerback. Equally adept at covering receivers on the outside or in the slot, he appears to be 100 percent heading into training camp and while he doesn't put up big IDP numbers the Dallas team defense will notice his presence.
Scandrick took over a starting spot at cornerback for the Cowboys last season, recording 55 tackles, two INTs and a sack in 14 games. He's better suited to working out of the slot than on the outside however, and the addition of first-round pick Byron Jones as well as the potential return to health of Mo Claiborne should allow Scandrick to return inside. He'll miss the entire 2015 season after tearing his ACL and MCL during training camp
Scandrick surpassed Mo Claiborne on the depth chart last season, starting 15 games and putting up decent numbers (64 tackles, two INTs and two sacks). A healthy Claiborne could regain his starting role, so don't expect a repeat of that IDP performance, but even as the Cowboys' third corner Scandrick will be a valuable part of their secondary.
Veteran slot cornerback provides a steady inside presence for the Cowboys defense, but Scandrick has very limited IDP value.
"Backup" cornerback specializes in slot coverage, a role that gives him almost as many snaps as the starters given the number of three-wide sets around the NFL these days. Scandrick's steady, but he's not special.
Scandrick was a little more active out of the slot in the pass rush but otherwise his development seemed to stall, and the Cowboys will be looking for a better performance from him in 2011.
Taken in the fifth round in 2008 Scandrick proved to be a steal, matching first-round pick Mike Jenkins in performance. If Scandrick wins the competition for a starting spot between the two in camp, he has the skill set to be an IDP surprise.
Rookie will provide secondary and special teams depth if he sticks.

Drawing ex-teammate's ire
CBFree Agent
October 25, 2019
Scandrick has come under criticism from his former Eagles teammates after criticizing the locker room in his television appearance on FS1's "Undisputed", Mike kaye of NJ.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Scandrick was released Monday after three weeks with the team, and he criticized the locker room atmosphere in addition to the leadership ability of veteran safety Malcolm Jenkins. Jenkins fired back at Scandrick with a profanity-laced tirade, but even disregarding that, Scandrick likely did his chances of latching on with another team no favors by running his mouth so soon after getting cut.
