Gary Russell

Russell has impressed the Steelers organization and likely was a significant factor in their release of Najeh Davenport. Overshadowed much of his college career in Minnesota by Marion Barber and Laurence Maroney, Russell is a strong back with solid speed. The Steelers believe could be a feature back at some point in his career, though it's tough to see him producing too much in 2008 with Willie Parker, Rashard Mendenhall and Mewelde Moore ahead of him on the depth chart.
