Sits out entire postseason
CBKansas City Chiefs
February 21, 2020
Claiborne accrued 14 tackles (nine solo) across eight regular-season contests in 2019. He did not make an appearance across three postseason games.
ANALYSIS
Claiborne missed the first four contests of the season after undergoing surgery on his left wrist last July, and a shoulder injury sustained Week 13 later sidelined him for the rest of the regular season and playoffs. He practiced in full prior to the AFC Championship Game, however, an indication that he's managed to return to full health. During the eight games Claiborne did suit up, he was limited to a depth role in Kansas City's secondary. The 30-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March.

Claiborne was a serviceable top cornerback for the Jets last season, so he should excel as the No. 2 option at the position with Trumaine Johnson now also in the fold. His 43 tackles in 2017 were the most Claiborne's had since notching 55 as a rookie in 2012.
Claiborne has struggled with injuries for much of his career, but at only 27 years old he still has time for a revival. The Jets' secondary should be much better this year than last, though with how bad the offense is expected to be, Claiborne is likely to be on the field for plenty of snaps if he can stay healthy. That being said, he's never been a big tackle or interception accumulator, so his fantasy value in IDP leagues is still fairly limited.
The sixth overall pick in 2012 has been an injury-plagued disappointment in his career to date, but Claiborne will get one more chance to make good with the Cowboys after signing a one-year deal in the offseason. He has yet to play a full 16-game schedule or record more than one interception in a season though, so even if he can stay healthy don't expect much production from him.
Claiborne continues to be plagued by injuries, and he played in only four games last season before tearing his Achilles tendon. He's made good progress in his recovery, but in the offseason the Cowboys declined his fifth-year option and drafted Byron Jones, so 2015 represents Claiborne's very last chance in Dallas to live up to his billing as the sixth overall pick in 2012.
Claiborne battled injuries again in his second season, playing only 10 games and losing his starting spot to Orlando Scandrick. He's still just two years removed from being the sixth overall pick though, and the Cowboys aren't ready to give up on him yet. Don't look for big IDP numbers, but if he can stay healthy he should help solidify the Dallas secondary.
Claiborne had an up-and-down rookie season, recording 55 tackles and one interception, but the sixth overall pick in 2012 showed plenty of potential and looks poised to take a big step forward. He may not put up IDP-worthy numbers, but he'll be a key part of the Cowboys' team defense.
The Cowboys traded up in the first round to nab Claiborne, the player they thought was the one difference-maker available at cornerback in this year's draft. He'll start opposite free agent Brandon Carr in Dallas' revamped secondary and has both the ball-hawking skills and willingness to get physical that make him a potential IDP star if he adapts to the NFL quickly.

Would play under right circumstance
CBFree Agent
September 27, 2020
Claiborne isn't actively looking for a new team but would return if the circumstances were ideal, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Claiborne hasn't retired but didn't sign with a team after spending eight games with the Chiefs last season. He's considered one of the top cornerbacks on the free agent market. Last season, he allowed a 74.1 passer rating and 57.1 completion percentage when targeted. If injuries around the league pile up, Claiborne could get a few calls.
