ANALYSIS
Prosinski was placed on IR by the Bears less than a week ago after suffering a concussion in Week 15. It remains unclear if the 30-year-old has officially cleared the concussion protocol, but he should aim to land elsewhere should he be cleared to play.

Prosinski, a six-year veteran, signed with the Bears on September 29 last year and played in every contest starting in Week 4. He also started five consecutive games starting in Week 10, and on the season, he recorded a sack, a forced fumble and 32 tackles. He’ll be competing for a reserve role with the team, but if injuries crop up, the veteran would be able to fill in with the starting unit.

A mid-season addition who added safety depth after injuries forced the Eagles’ hand last season, Prosinski will have to hope his value on special teams is enough to earn him a roster spot. Even still, special teams contributor is likely his ceiling.

Prosinski will attempt to beat out Craig Loston and Sherrod Martin for one of the final defensive back spots on the roster. If he makes the team, he'll play primarily in a reserve role.

Second-string strong safety.

Prosinski had assumed a starting role as a rookie (primarily due to injury in the secondary) before landing on IR himself. While he often looked lost in coverage, he was solid against the run and should make significant strides in his sophomore season, though he's unlikely to have much of an IDP impact.
