In five injury-plagued campaigns, Sharpton has been placed on season-ending injured reserve three times, suiting up for 47 of a possible 80 games.

After leading the Texans with 87 tackles (56 solo) last season, Sharpton joined the Redskins on a one-year, $2 million deal in the offseason. He landed on IR, however.

Injuries have cost Sharpton a total of 19 games over his first three NFL seasons, preventing him from making much of an impact at middle linebacker. Now healthy, he's the likely starter at inside linebacker opposite Brian Cushing to open the 2013 season.

Often injured, Sharpton will help the Texans at inside linebacker.

Sharpton was a big part of Houston's special teams coverage in his rookie season in 2010 and will resume that role again in 2011. He did see significant playing time on defense last year, due to injuries and we'll likely see him backing up both DeMeco Ryans and Brian Cushing at inside linebacker.

Sharpton adds some depth to the linebacking corps, but he appears to be too undersized to be a full-timer.
